Black Holes Part Two

Black Holes:

So we know how black holes are created, but what are they and what do they look like? What happens if we jump into one?How does time and space over all act nearby a black hole?

For all these questions i have separated the post into parts:

What does falling into one look like?

Let's jump into a black hole!Seems like a nice idea!Imagine yourself hovering nearby a black hole.

Check this photo out:

You can see the weird twisted blurry area around it.Remember when we said light is affected by gravity, there for the black hole!

Once darkness fills half of your field of vision you have reached the "Photon Sphere" a point in space in witch photons don't fall into the black hole, but don't wonder off either. The photons(light) actually orbits abound it!At this point you can look to the left and see your right cheek because the light traveling around bouncing from your cheek back to your eyes on the left side.

Passing this point,we're still doing fine,we can still run away if we could beat the black hole's gravitational pull.So we continue falling until we reach the good ol' "Event Horizon". At this point it's a 100% sure you're dead.No question about it.

I'm aware that this photo is a bit out of content, but it's so god dam awesome i couldn't resist!

What would passing the horizon look like?Well the person observing you fall in wouldn't see you get sucked in..They would see you freeze and slowly turn reddish until you completely vanish!

You wouldn't notice much passing this point tho'.

But for now you can chill.Sometimes it might take a lot of time to reach the point of singularity where the gravity would kill you. How?

Gravity Stretch

That's a pretty bad way to die.You wouldn't feel much, but having your torn up molecules scrambled around in space in the case our black hole represents a worm hole.

This gravity stretch is actually called "Spaghettification" I didn't make that up!

This is what it might look like just before you die:

What happens now....i really don't know.No one does know certainly.

With this i end my little presentation on black holes. Now you know a lot about them

But this isn't the only awesome thing in The Universe..Oh no!

So instead of simply time travel i'l dedicate this blog and my time to the rest of the Universes wonders.

Science For The Win!

How Are Black Holes Created?

The Creation of Black Holes:

A star.A star shining in the sky light years away.It looks so calm and peaceful, but from up close it's hell.Nuclear fusion of simple Hydrogen atoms into more complex ones like helium and some other heavy elements releasing tons of energy.

To do this on earth we would need to get the hydrogen atoms far hotter than the actual surface of the Sun,so how does the sun do it?

Quantum tunneling of course.Even tho' the atoms aren't hot enough they fuse anyway.Remember that the sun is so huge that these small chances happen all the time. That's the life of a star. But to learn how Black Holes work we might have to look deeper. It's birth and it's death.

Clouds of dust floating around space getting thicker and thicker until it's density is high enough. The cloud explodes creating a ball shaped object that has hydrogen atoms in it,starting the fusion as soon as it's born. This ball of light also has gravity.

Now let's look at how stars die.Stars run out of hydrogen atoms to create energy it explodes like a huge hydrogen bomb(Supernova) releasing gases that push the inner layers inside putting a lot of matter into one point. This point's density and gravity becomes infinite thus creating a Black Hole.

Size:

Sizes of black holes depend on the star and the size of supernova's.
The biggest black holes are usually in the center of a Galaxy. For example The Milky Way has a black hole in it's center. What do they look like? It's a dark circle that not even light can escape. This is all theoretical remember,i wish it wasn't of course :3

Hawking's Radiation:

Can one escape a black hole?According to Hawking's work, yes. But that doesn't mean you will be in one piece. You will be shattered in particles that is.

A black hole isn't a perfect prison. It leaks particles and matter over time, the smaller the black hole is more it leaks.

Re-a range particles and you can get your stuff back :D

Where does it lead you?

I don't know.

No one does,as i said it might be a wormhole. But even if it is,there's no way you can jump in without getting destroyed.

On my next post i'l go into deeper details about black holes, this is just a brief explanation of it's birth and it's death,as well as the stars life, after all these two are so related that they kind of resemble the same thing.

Dimensions,Timelines and The Void

This post is based on Doctor Who mostly. This BBC's British TV Show sure is smart. It triggers questions in our minds that we've never thought off  before.

So yeah..spoiler alert:

Let's start with Rose. She found herself in a different dimension living that boring life while the doctor travels through space and time with his other companions. This "dimension" might as well be called a parallel universe.

Anytime you make a decision a new universe is created in witch that decision isn't made.So if that's true there's millions of different universes. In one I'm dead, yet here I'm alive, same as Rose's dad.

So Rose was trapped in a parallel universe in witch her dad is alive, but she can't come back since the TARDIS can't travel through universes. This can only be done with a hole in the fabric of reality.
Too bad for her,but keep watching the show and you will be amazed

Hmm you know i wonder..The Doctor said he mustn't change history, but he's doing it all the time. His answer to this question would be "I know what I'm doing" but..does he?

So judging by some episodes you can tell that some events are fixed, and some are not.The Doctor can't change events he didn't participate in.

The other theory would be the already known Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. The Doctor goes in past and sees himself, helping him, changing history without paradoxes....I'm confused.

It's weird that the all mighty TARDIS can't travel through parallel universes.I wonder what's in between those.Oh yeah,The Doctor explained that too!The void.Sounds pretty cool eh?

This is what the Void looks like...But there's no colors either

What is it? Nothing. Just nothing!
There is no matter, antimatter, space nor time!

I wouldn't wanna end up there :<

Possibilities of E.T Life Forms

Extra Extraterrestrial Life Form Possibilities

This might be a little bit off the time travel topic, but it's still interesting and after all, this could still be fun for Whovians :)

The universe is massive, huge, endless. You cannot say there couldn't be any other planets with earths "life gift"

Earth, the water and oxygen creating a perfect atmosphere with the temperature. It's rare for a planet to be formed at the distance from the star to support life, but since this universe is so huge, there must be another planet at the same distance, size and gravity to support life.

But perhaps our answer is right in front of us.The Red Planet,Mars is believed to have been a home for life.If there was life,it were microbes and bacteria.Still it's pretty cool thinking about this.

Another interesting topic is space colonization.Imagine living on Mars or the Moon.Pretty awesome isn't it? Well not really, there's
a lot of unsolved problems.

First we would need basic stuff a human needs to survive.Food,water,oxygen.That wouldn't be too much of a problem if we bring enough. The next obstacle is gravity.Oh that gravity.

We'd need a planet similar to Earth in size due to our gravity requirements. Why is gravity important?Well simply because our bodies would rot.Our muscles exposed to low gravity levels would be useless,so the body would burn them out.On the other side, exposed to too much gravity would break our spines and bones.

This can be solved tho' if we could simulate gravity.Another problem is radiation.Who knows what kind of radioactivity there is in space.

And the most important one.Staying.Life would be awesome but hard.Traveling there would take a lot of time, maybe years. But if we decide to make buildings on the moon,it might actually work.

If we can overcome the simple obstacles we could do it.But the moon isn't our target.

Jupiter has a moon,a natural satellite orbiting around it.This moon is called Europa and it's the only possible life sustaining object in the Solar System other then Earth and possibly Mars due to having oxygen in the atmosphere and oceans of water on the surface.

But the space age of humanity has just started. The universe is huge and one day humans will explore it and find new life forms.

If only we lived long enough to see them, but who knows

Paradoxes:

PARADOXES:

What is a paradox and what does it have to do with time travel?
Well paradoxes are kinda the problems in time traveling. If the classic paradoxes that involve time travel existed, and people could time travel the universe would collapse!

So first, let's find out what a paradox is. It is something that leads to the same thing.Or as wikipedia would say :

"A paradox is a statement that apparently contradicts itself and yet might be true"

To better understand this il' give you a few examples:

"This following sentence is true"
"This previous sentence is false"

This one is known as the Pinocchio paradox

This one is known as the "mindfuck"

Ok,so that's a paradox, what does it have to do with time travel? A lot!

Let's take a look at the Temporal Paradox, also known as the time travel paradox.

A time traveler goes to the past changing it and disabling himself to ever become a time traveler. How would he do that if his past self will never be able to do that.

An example is the grandfather paradox.I have a time machine so i go back to the past and kill my grandfather for some reason...So if i killed him before i was born i would have never been born, there for i could have never killed him in the first place!

What would happen? No idea! That is if we aren't talking about Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban.

In the 3rd book of this awesome series our heroes go back in time to help they're past selfs(without them seeing 'em ofc)

So thier past selfs could do the same thing to they're past selfs...

I'm sorry if that doesn't make sense.I'm trying my best.

If you want a video about it just watch this one:

It explains these paradoxes a bit better.I mean after all it's moving pictures not text.
